The Oasis resurgence briefly quieted down this year after the band wrapped up its long-awaited global reunion tour last November, but Gallaghermania is back at full tilt. Don't Look Back In Anger, the new documentary about the reunion, is in theaters and earning rave reviews. And now, after months of teasing, the band has announced another round of live shows for 2027.
Liam, Noel, and the boys will once again play stadium and park shows in Europe, the UK, Ireland, and the US next year. Starting in May, they'll do multi-night runs in Glasgow, Manchester (where they're booked for a whopping 11 gigs at Etihad Stadium, home of their beloved Manchester City), Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Boston, Las Vegas, Slane Castle, and Knebworth, adding up to 39 shows total.
The last venue is significant because Knebworth was the site of the famed 1996 shows that marked the peak of Oasis' Britpop-era ascent. The previous Oasis documentary, 2016's Supersonic, famously ended with the triumphant Knebworth gigs, concluding that the band might have been better off hanging it up right there and going out on top. Somehow, I don't believe Knebworth 2027 will mark the end of Oasis Mk. 2, but I suppose relations between the Gallaghers could always fall apart again.
