It's been a couple years since Blue Bendy's debut album, So Medieval. Today, the UK six-piece is announcing its followup, One Day This Will All Be Lore. The grandiose lead single "Dragonslayer" is out now.
"I was trying to subvert some Arthurian chivalry in a modern context," singer Arthur Nolan says. "Especially as that medieval period is such a traditionally idolized time. Trying to look at Nationalistic mythology wrapped in a tragicomic romantic pop song, and the fantasies that any musician tells themself about fame, living in your own head."
Of the video, keyboardist Olivia Morgan adds, "I got a camera earlier this year and decided to try and answer every question i've ever had and analyze why everyone does any of the things they do in a 4 and a half minute sequence of videos. I've not made a music video before or done much with film at all but I want to learn how to do that so this is experiment one."
