Peel Dream Magazine Announce Expanded Taurus: Hear “Blind Faith”

12:02 PM EDT on October 6, 2026

We last heard from Joe Stevens' oft-morphing musical project Peel Dream Magazine about a year ago with the release of the mini-album Taurus. Today he's announced an expanded edition, which I guess brings it to regular album size. This will mark the first time Taurus is released on vinyl. Along with the announcement comes "Blind Faith," a skittering electronic pop track that once again reframes my understanding of Peel Dream Magazine.

Stevens shared this statement:

This is another track I was working on during the time I made Rose Main Reading Room. Like a lot of those songs, I recorded it a few times over, but I couldn't get a particular sound I was looking for, and the structure kept changing. I decided to put down the pen and didn't revisit the song until earlier this year. I was inspired by Thom Yorke's The Eraser, The Books, and some other minimalist, glitchy music from that time. The song is kind of about wandering the maze of your own head, trying to escape the habits that lead nowhere.

After hearing about 30 seconds of "Blind Faith" I was going to compare it to solo Thom Yorke, but after reading Stevens' blurb I figured I'd just let him draw the comparison himself. Listen below on tomorrow's modern box of your choice.
