Record Store Day Reveals Black Friday 2026 Exclusives

3:33 PM EDT on October 6, 2026

The semiannual event known as Record Store Day will once again bring a raft of exclusive releases to independent record stores this Black Friday.

Going down Nov. 27, this RSD Black Friday slate will include the usual assortment of rarities, new colorways, and LPs returning to vinyl.

There are a couple of previously unheard live collections, including Skid Row's Live At The Moscow Music Peace Festival and a previously unreleased live disc added to Frank Black's 30th anniversary Teenager Of The Year reissue. Weeners are especially excited for Shinola, Vol. 2, a 2xLP collection of "previously unreleased outtakes, fan favorites and rare B-sides spanning the length of the band’s recording career," pressed on "just brown" vinyl, of course. King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are adding to their Bootlegger series with Expand Your Mind: Songs In 3D, a collection of live recordings from Bulgaria billed as "the first-ever 3D Zoetrope record, complete with 3D glasses."

What else? TV Girl are releasing their whole catalog on one CD under the title Four Classic Albums. J.I.D is releasing the audio from his NPR Tiny Desk concert. Daryl “DMC” McDaniels of Run-DMC is putting out America, an EP created with rockers including Sebastian Bach of Skid Row (them again!), Mick Mars of Mötley Crüe, Duff McKagan of Guns N' Roses, and Travis Barker of Blink-182. There are live albums on deck from Prince, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen, Jeff Tweedy, Marianne Faithfull, Funkadelic, Billy Joel, Brigitte Calls Me Baby, and the Old ‘97s, as well as jazz titans Stan Getz, Charlie Parker, and Bill Evans.

There will not be a 20th anniversary edition of Clipse's Hell Hath No Fury, which is too bad because it will be turning 20 that weekend. But there will be special releases from Noah Kahan, KATSEYE, Masayoshi Takanaka, and so many more. Peruse in full at the Record Store Day site.
