Back in May, Paul McCartney released his first new album in six years, a nostalgic look back at his Liverpool childhood called The Boys Of Dungeon Lane. It featured his first-ever duet with Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr on "Home To Us," and it earned him his first nomination for the UK's Mercury Prize. Today he releases a digital deluxe edition of the album with four more tracks. It'll be out physically closer to Christmas.
In their own ways, the ballad "City Fox," the pop song "One Night Stand," and the rocker "Chelsea Boots" are all classic Macca. A "flip mix" of "Home To Us" rounds out the bonus tracks. There's also a newly released archival video from 1996 in which McCartney returns to his childhood haunt, Dungeon Lane.
To promote the release, McCartney was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live!'s Brooklyn week last Friday. About 1:45 into the video, he and Kimmel joke about how Larry David will never be invited back to another McCartney concert after refusing to sing along at his intimate Fonda show in LA.
