Geordie Greep Addresses Rape Allegation Made On Flyers At Vancouver Show

9:25 AM EDT on October 9, 2026

While fans waited in line to get into Geordie Greep's concert at the Pearl in Vancouver yesterday, flyers with serious allegations were handed out. The flyers informed the crowd of sexual assault allegations that were made that day. An hour and forty minutes after the scheduled set time, Greep addressed the crowd with a speech about the situation before playing a solo set. The flyer read:

Geordie Greep

A Rapist

You know what you did this morning Oct 8th

He thinks he can do whatever he wants because he's gone tomorrow

Let Him Know What Vancouver Thinks of Rapists

The show was supposed to start at 8PM, but Greep took the stage around 9:40PM. Here is a transcription of Greep's statement:

OK guys, this is a very serious matter that I must talk about. Out in front, someone is handing around flyers, saying I'm this, saying I'm that. It needs to be talked about. So essentially, what happened last night, me and some of the band, we went out to some bars. We went around. We met people. And it ended up in a situation where, really late at a house party, I got the wrong end of the stick with someone that was there. I made a move, and it didn't come off, and I really quickly, of course, apologized. It was a complete misunderstanding on my part, and I felt extremely bad. I feel extremely sorry and extremely upset about the whole situation. I would never rape a woman. I'm not a rapist. It's not how that went down.

It is a very strange thing to happen. It is a very scary thing. So all of the band, I think, understand that I didn't want to force them to still play a show in the light of that happening. We were unsure what would be the response to all this. And I can only tell you that it's OK if people want to leave. If they want a refund, it's fine. We are gonna donate the proceeds of this show to the against violence organization in Columbia. Basically, I wanted to be transparent with you about what happened. I'm very, very, very sorry to someone. I made someone feel uncomfortable without meaning to. It's not a good thing. It's not good.

If you want me to play some songs for you, I can still play some songs for you. It's just gonna be me, like the old days. Is that all right?

The crowd cheered, and he played a 10-song set. Watch a clip of his address below.
