The Chats are back at it. The Australian punks were just out on tour with Social Distortion and Descendents, and now they're announcing Half Cut, the long-awaited followup to 2022's Get Fucked. The quick, catchy lead single "Off It" is here today.
"Half Cut is a fun rock and roll record, but it's maybe a little more open than stuff we've written in the past," vocalist Eamon Sandwith says. "I definitely hesitate to use the word 'mature,' but it's a bit of a progression, I'd say."
The LP — which is surely not mature — was recorded at Los Angeles' Maple Sound Studio with Frenzal Rhomb's Jay Whalley. "Off It" comes with a music video directed by Matt Weston; watch below.
