As part of Levi's Pioneer Series -- which also welcomed Nas (covering Slick Rick) and She & Him (handling Rick Nelson) -- Dirty Projectors did a loose, spacious, vocally rich take on Dylan's "I Dreamed I Saw St. Augustine," a spare folk track from 1967's John Wesley Harding. It's not the first time they covered Bob ... Or even this song. It's also not the first time Longstreth & Co. have given a go at re-contextualizing an icon (see, for starters, Black Flag, Björk). So, yeah, our headline is sorta misleading -- this feels like it belongs to a continuum, rather than a specific jean company. Hear the completed track at Levi's (via Vulture).
