This past CMJ Lissy Trullie opened for Lykke Li at V's party and received raves for her live charisma (SPIN pegged her as one of the "Hottest New Bands Playing CMJ 2008"). She was thereafter voted one of Paper Magazine's beautiful people, and maybe because she has hair like Edie Sedgwick, she's performing the Warhol Live opening at the De Young Museum in San Francisco at the end of the month. This is quite a fuss for someone who hasn't yet released an album, true, but the NY-via-D.C. (she moved to NYC when she was 16) musician's debut EP Self-Taught Learner is out in a couple weeks, so now you can listen (and judge) for yourself. We have the EP's very catchy opening track "Boy Boy."
