Superchunk (Feat. John Darnielle) Play First Late Night TV Show In 16 Years

It's the '90s again, and for my bucks two cents, old-time favorites Superchunk and their new album Majesty Shredding are leading the charge most emphatically. Photographer Mehan Jayasuriya seconds that emotion, saying the band "had tons of energy" during their Friday night set at the 9:30 Club. He mentions Mac "spent most of the show bouncing around the stage like a ping pong ball," meaning he's acting like he's always acted. Take a look at Mehan's photos from D.C. and a couple live videos from last night's Jimmy Fallon appearance if you need convincing. Mac & Co. brought "Digging For Something" star John Darnielle to Fallon for added muscle.
