UK duo To My Boy are gearing up for their big US debut, a big dose of jerky kitchen-sink guitar-laptop futurepop, hearkening back to the "future" of Devo, with the occasional Maxïmo melody and a touch of the Tundra (Max, that is). In the vid for the forthcoming single "Model," the inner gears of their Playskool pop are strewn about through a crayola colored funfactory, fairly fitting of their spastic toy tuneage. To hear To My Boy Tell it, "Model" is "about the catharsis and pain of making something beautiful ... with our hands, minds and computer." Which reads deeper than it sounds.
