A photo of Glenn Danzig with a recently purchased box of kitty litter showed up on-line a couple weeks ago and people went crazy. This year he released Deth Red Sabaoth, his best album in ages, but with things like the knock-out video and Henry & Glenn Forever floating around (and the fact that he's wearing a Danzig shirt while picking up the Fresh Step), he has a hard time staying out of punchlines. Buzzgrinder asked him about the kitty litter thing, getting his side of the "story."
Buzzgrinder: I don’t know if you noticed, but a couple of weeks ago, a photo of you carrying some cat supplies home from the grocery hit the internet and…
Glenn Danzig: I don’t care about that.
Buzzgrinder: I didn’t think so, but…
GD: Hey, you know what, why do people even care? Why are they wasting their lives on this? (laughs)
Buzzgrinder: I guess it’s just a weird thing, because there aren’t many musicians who people…
GD: Follow with cameras? (laughs)
Buzzgrinder: Exactly. There aren’t many people who are Glenn Danzig.
GD: Yeah, but you know what … I just play music, you know what I mean? That’s what I want to spend my time talking about...
You can read them doing just that at Buzzgrinder. Here's Glenn in 1983, a time when people were more frightened to pick on his purchases.

Happy Halloween. Let's see how many people dress up like Danzig carrying kitty litter. (And don't forget Coliseum's "Bullet" cover.)
