The critically-acclaimed NY indie acts gave each other shout outs in Indio on Saturday and today we're sharing the product of their recent collaboration. As reported last week, Gang Gang Dance deconstructed and lengthened "Stork & Owl" for TVOTR's new remix EP Read Silence. What was one of Dear Science's chillest cuts becomes more haunting through jerky beats, phase shifts, and Liz Bougatsos' harmonies mixing with Kyp's manipulated vocals. In its final section, the music fades into ambient dialogue recorded at a party and/or during a storm. Take a listen.
On Coachella Eve, TVOTR and their portable brass section dropped by Leno (again). This time with "Crying."
