New York post-punk trio Mr. Dream, one of our favorite new bands of 2010, are a breath of fresh air in a local scene that often seems afraid of guitars. When we premiered "Crime," the lead single from their debut full-length Trash Hit, drummer Nick Sylvester called it a pop song that's "punk but with big dumb arena-type moves.” The video for the track, which plays on security cameras with its 1:1 aspect ratio, etc., finds the band choreographing something more insular. The clip was directed by Philip Hodges, whose next video's for Foo Fighters -- so maybe that's where the big dumb arena moves come in. Take a look:
