Yeasayer Debut “Devil And The Deed” On Conan

Yeasayer

|Graeme Flegenheimer

Last night Yeasayer returned to television with the new song "Devil And The Deed," an anxious cut of backbeat new wave with Anand Wilder out front, fog by their ankles, and synths and falsetto through the hook. The band's on tour right now still supporting Odd Blood, so while it's not quite time to get excited about a new LP, it is good to know they're spotlighting new material -- in addition to "Devil," Yeasayer performed two more previously unreleased songs (one titled "Henrietta") at their show later in the evening at L.A.'s Music Box with tour support Smith Westerns. Photographer Graeme Flegenheimer was there -- his photos are above, the Conan performance is below. Go both ways.
