Pairing the "Peace will come to me" refrain with opening images of an androgynous beauty in uniform, Depeche Mode's video for "Peace" appears to be headed down a heavy-handed militarily metaphorical road from the start. Which is so not as fun as self-propelled homicidal cars! The video doesn't belabor the G.I. Jane stuff though, which is good; it's more about this lady's internal peace quest, the shit she's suffered through, the psyche of a soldier. Pairs nicely with the tune's electronic/gospel vibe.
