With tribal tunes built upon yelps, nature sounds, and clattering rhythms, Chicago's psych quartet YAWN have garnered almost unanimous comparisons to Animal Collective and Yeasayer. Their debut LP Open Season, out later this summer, is certainly one to keep an ear out for, and you'll have plenty of opportunities to see them play live with Mates Of State in the fall.
