We've been spending a lot of time with the mostly super Brighter Than Creation's Dark, trying to play pedal steel along with "The Opening Act" and watching which less-immediate songs bloom, all the time curious to know how many debates "Bob" will lead to, etc. As we mentioned last week about D-BT's new 19-track opus, we do think there are a few weak moments, but the adrenaline surge of "The Man I Shot" isn't one of them. As you ought to be able to tell from this video of the band kicking-ass last week at Athens, Georgia's 40 Watt Club.

Throw some water on those dudes (and lady). As an aside, the red and gray lighting really matches the YouTube interface, right? Brighter Than Creation's Dark is out 1/22 on New West.
