"I took New York like Cloverfield." That's Spank Rock on "Car Song," the Santigold collab from his new album Everything Is Boring And Everyone Is A Fucking Liar. I like that line, mostly because people don't talk about Cloverfield enough. Cloverfield is a fucking great movie, you guys.
Anyway. This song. Santigold and Spank Rock came up and made "Shove It" together, but neither one has been around much lately -- Mobroder and "Go" notwithstanding --so it's cool to hear them on a track together again. The song is a bubbly dance-rap confection, and you can listen to a radio rip of it over at Some Kind Of Awesome.
