Cut Copy

|Andrew Youssef

Touring in support of their overlooked album Zonoscope, Cut Copy played a white hot set for a sold out crowd at the Hollywood Palladium. Utilizing an extra percussionist, a modular synthesizer rig (that destroys fascists!) and a Moog Voyager, Cut Copy effectively recreated the sonic layers of their dense songs. Augmented by a backing band, Washed Out impressed by layering his dreamy synthesizer textures over the audience with selections from Within and Without. Midnight Magic also opened.

Setlist:
"Take Me Over"
"Feel The Love"
"Hanging Onto Every Heartbeat"
"So Haunted"
"Corner of the Sky"
"Lights and Music"
"Blink and You'll Miss A Revolution"
"Pharaohs & Pyramids"
"Saturdays"
"Hearts On Fire"
"Sun God"
"Where I'm Going"
"Need You Now"
"Out There On The Ice"

In other Cut Copy news, Lotus Plaza (Deerhunter's Lockett Pundt) hit the web with a Cut Copy cover; here's his take on "Where I'm Going."
