Houston sonic maven DJ OG Ron C is one of the flagbearers of Houston's signature chopped-and-screwed sound -- he co-founded Swishahouse Records and his work with artists like UGK and Chamillionaire became genre-defining -- and recently the prolific auteur came through with a "Chopped Up, Not Slopped Up" edition of Drake's Take Care called Chopcare. Giving that the style-sampling Drake borrows a lot of tones and sounds from that scene, OG Ron C's remix edition is sort of the remix equivalent to shooting fish in a barrel.
