Watch The Replacements Play “Alex Chilton” On The Tonight Show
Just like they teased, the Replacements played live on NBC last night as the musical guests on Jimmy Fallon. It’s the first time they appeared on the network since they were banned following their infamous drunken Saturday Night Live performance in 1986. It was also their first TV appearance together in 25 years. They did Pleased To Meet Me’s “Alex Chilton,” a song that wasn’t even released when they were on SNL. Watch below.
One of Fallon’s guests for the night was Keith Richards, who was there discussing his children’s book, and they hung out backstage.
