A couple of weeks back, we caught our first glimpse at the ugly-as-fuck cover art for the forthcoming Animal Collective album Centipede Hz. As it turns out, they've now tweaked that cover art, doing a different variation that's not quite as ugly. (It's still definitively ugly, though, so don't worry.) And now they've also announced that there will be a few different editions of the album, and pre-order versions of all of them will include a DVD with footage of their July 2011 show at Brooklyn's Prospect Park. The fanciest of the editions is a $26 deluxe double-vinyl one that'll also include a silver foil gatefold sleeve and a download card; it's limited to 7500 copies between its North American and European editions.
