Last night, Dirty Projectors brought their endlessly tricky chamber-pop to the stage at the Late Show With David Letterman, playing the Swing Lo Magellan single "About To Die" while the classical combo yMusic backed them up. Their intricate, virtuosic live show is, as always, deeply impressive, and I'm pretty sure Letterman's introduction is the first time anyone has ever referred to Dirty Projectors as a "rock and roll band."
