ACL Festival in Zilker Park has long been Austin, TX’s other great reason for music fans to visit ATX, and while the shadow cast by SXSW is still long and dark and full of terrors, Austin City Limits is stepping up their game this year by expanding to two weekends (October 4-6 and 11-13), a la Coachella. And the lineup is primo material, too: The Cure, Depeche Mode, Atoms For Peace, Phoenix, Wilco, The National, Queens of the Stone Age, Vampire Weekend, Arctic Monkeys, Kendrick Lamar, D’Angelo, Passion Pit, Tame Impala, Grimes, Purity Ring, Divine Fits, Toro Y Moi, Haim, Smith Westerns, Savages, FIDLAR, Parquet Courts, Autre Ne Veut, Phosphorescent, Kings of Leon, Muse, Local Natives, Neko Case, Foxygen, Wild Nothing, and the man Lionel Richie.
