Boston Calling Announces Fall Festival Headlined By Vampire Weekend & Passion Pit
When the weather is right, there are few places in this country that cultivate a vibe of outdoor-festival revelry quite like Boston. And given the terrible turn taken at the city’s signature gathering earlier this year, it brings us a lot of joy to report that Boston Calling, the music festival that debuted in May in downtown Beantown as a bit of Marathon-morale rehabilitation, has announced a second installment, to take place September 7th and 8th at City Hall Plaza. The lineup is co-curated by Aaron Dessner of the National (who co-headlined May’s installment with fun.), and features a righteous troupe: Vampire Weekend and local boys Passion Pit to co-headline, Kendrick Lamar, Local Natives, Major Lazer, Solange, Bat For Lashes, and more to support. Also, hail to that Boston Terrier logo (and to BU, too).
