Watch Schoolboy Q Play Conan & NPR’s First Listen Live Concert In NYC
Yesterday, the L.A. rapper Schoolboy Q released his long-awaited new album Oxymoron, and it earned our Album Of The Week designation, over the objections of a few St. Vincent fans. And on the night of his release date, he served as musical guest on Conan, enlisting a full live band and the great young soul singer BJ The Chicago Kid for a loose, expansive version of the album track “Studio.” A few nights previous, he also performed the album in full in an hour-long concert at New York’s Le Poisson Rouge for NPR’s First Listen Live. NPR recorded it, and now you can watch the full show. Q is a great live rapper, and we’re lucky to have so many chances to see him rip shit onstage from the comfort of our computers. Watch the Conan performance and the LPR show below.
Oxymoron is out now on TDE/Interscope.
