The people of Sweden always have to be better than you at whatever you’re doing. Maybe that’s why the Swedish sister act First Aid Kit make such exquisitely rendered Americana despite, you know, not being remotely American and all. The band’s new album Stay Gold, which they recorded in Omaha with Bright Eyes producer and Monsters Of Folk member Mike Mogis, comes out next month. For their new single “Cedar Lane,” they’ve made a video that’s just the two sisters in the group blinking balefully, which means it’s presumably just there to highlight the song. The song bursts with beautifully swoony harmonies, so that’s just fine. Check it out below.
