Watch 50 Cent And G-Unit Reunite At Hot 97 Summer Jam
Last night, the New York rap-radio giant Hot 97 held its annual Summer Jam show, and it was as crammed with special guests as ever. During Nicki Minaj’s headlining set alone, she brought Lil Wayne, Drake, Young Thug, Soulja Boy, and Lil Herb to the stage, while the Roots got to play local hero, backing up the Lox and M.O.P. But the most special moment of the night may have been 50 Cent’s reunion with his old G-Unit crew, all of whom have fallen out with him in recent years. Sadly, the Game did not reenter the fold, and hangers-on like Olivia were nowhere to be found. But principal members Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo (still in the bucket hat!), and the long-estranged Young Buck (my personal sentimental favorite) all took the stage with 50. Check out a video from the crowd below.
And just because, here’s Nicki’s entire set:
Straight Outta Cashville was just the best album.
