Paul McCartney Scores First-Person Shooter Game Destiny
The New York Times reports that Paul McCartney has scored the soundtrack from the upcoming first-person shooter game Destiny. The score is a collaboration with Marty O’Donnell, who also scored the Halo video game series, and Mike Salvatori. McCartney also penned a theme song for the game, which will be released later this year. The theme song was recorded with a 120-piece orchestra in London’s Abbey Road Studios. He’s been working on the project since 2010. You can hear some music from the soundtrack below.
“The Traveler’s Light”
“Start Of The Golden Age”
“Rixis”
“The Hive”
You can hear more cuts from the soundtrack over on this Youtube channel. Destiny is out 9/9. There’s no word on an official soundtrack release or when the theme song will come out.
