Country star Blake Shelton has long been a judge on NBC’s monstrously popular The Voice, making him (a) an NBC employee and (b) one of the best-known country stars among non-country fans. So the thought of Shelton hosting Saturday Night Live is not that crazy. And indeed, he’ll do double duty as host and musical guest on 1/24, TV Line reports. It might seem like a big milestone for a country singer to host SNL, but Rolling Stone points out that Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift (who was still self-identifying as country back in 2009) have all done it. Additionally, Sia has been announced as musical guest for the 1/17 episode hosted by Kevin Hart.
