Matt Mondanile, the Real Estate guitarist and Ducktails frontman, apparently isn't so busy with his side projects that he can't record the odd fuck-around cover in his room. Today, Mondanile shared his version of "Bad Fog Of Loneliness," a song that Neil Young wrote in 1971 and played live occasionally but didn't release until the 2007 concert album Live At Massey Hall 1971. Mondanile's version is a sort of lovely, twinkling shrug. He writes that he "just did this randomly in my room" and that there's a "purposely included mistake." Listen to it below.
Let's all agree to do like Mondanile and find more productive things to do with our downtime. It's a new year.
