Rivers Cuomo was a recent guest on Larry King’s web series Larry King Now (where Tyler, The Creator also recently paid a visit), and he shared this fascinating and/or disconcerting tidbit: He keeps getting fan mail intended for Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd. “I get these elaborate fan packages, only they’re not for me, they’re for the singer of Incubus, Brandon Boyd,” Cuomo told King. “The bizarre thing is it’s happened at two different houses I’ve lived in over the years.” Cuomo mentioned this in a recent Reddit AMA too — it’s a real problem. This has to be some kind of inside joke among Cuomo’s friends, right? If not, someone out there is very resourceful and very confused. Watch the relevant exchange below.
