Nicki Minaj and her ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels split up in 2014 after 12 years together, and most of her new album The Pinkprint addresses what the end of that relationship was like for Nicki. But Samuels has been busy since the breakup too, releasing an attempt at a mixtape a few months ago. Last night, a snippet of another new Samuels song called “Love The Most” popped up on TMZ, and this one is pointedly about his relationship with Nicki. You can listen to the snippet below.

It’s the kind of petty, vindictive song that people make when they’re hurting, and he mostly blames Nicki for their relationship’s failure. You can read the full lyrics here, but Samuels basically takes credit for her rise, gets in a potshot about pills, and complains about her kissing Nas for a music video (aka for work…?). These two have gotten into it on Twitter before, but not really since Nicki confirmed her relationship with rapper Meek Mill. However, last night when the snippet leaked, she took to Twitter to address it. Some of the tweets have been deleted, but luckily Complex preserved them, including one that indicates Samuels cheated on her. Read her response below, which is actually very even-handed considering his song’s tone.

Don’t make me do this

Lesson: don’t cheat on a loyal woman. God will punish u. When he does, tell people the truth. The truth may set u free. Love. Always.
