Watch The Killers Cover Kings Of Leon, Who Got Rained Out At Firefly
Saturday night at Firefly was a wash, literally, as festival organizers canceled Kings Of Leon’s headlining set due to an impending thunderstorm. Last night, though, the Killers brought their immense, soaring set to the main stage, which more than made up for the lack of Followills. As a nod to the trouble, Brandon Flowers and co. covered two Kings Of Leon tunes: “The Bucket” (a throwback from the Aha Shake Heartbreak days) and, of course, “Use Somebody.” They both worked, primarily because Flowers’ voice is an unstoppable force, but also because the two bands have more than a few stylistic similarities.
