Watch Stephen Colbert Interview Eminem On A Michigan Public Access Show
Stephen Colbert ended his nine-year run on The Colbert Report back in December, and he’s not taking over The Late Show until this coming September. So to keep his hosting skills in tip-top shape during the interim, he apparently decided to drop by Monroe, Michigan to guest-host the public access talk show Only In Monroe. He chatted with the show’s usual hosts about local news, and he also interviewed a local Michigander named Marshall Mathers — you know, just regular ol’ Michigan stuff. In the 20 minute interview, Colbert and Eminem touch on various subjects including Bob Seger songs, hip-hop lyrics, and the meaning of “feat. Pitbull,” and they also show a fake clip from the upcoming Eminem-produced boxing film Southpaw starring cats. The whole thing is utterly ridiculous and played completely straight, and it’s probably fairly close to what it would be like if Colbert were to host Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis.
