Mumford & Sons Covered “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)” With Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus Last Night
Mumford & Sons are currently touring in support of their non-fiddles-and-folk album Wilder Mind, and another way they’re attempting to shake off their rootsy past is by incorporating left field covers into their sets.
They’ve already tackled Shura’s electro-pop whisper “2Shy,” and have also taken to covering Eurthymics’ iconic synth-whirlwind “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This).” At their show in Los Angeles last night though, they brought this cover to a new level by enlisting Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 to help out. It’s bizarre in all the right ways. Please note Marcus Mumford is playing a tambourine. Watch below.
