Stream The Saddest Landscape Darkness Forgives (Stereogum Premiere)
Check your heart rate, make sure your pulse is even, hang on to your defibrillator. Darkness Forgives, the newest album from post-hardcore rockers the Saddest Landscape, is fever-inducing, fire-starting music — all explosive guitars and roaring vocals, powerful enough to ignite even the most morose and sullen. Since the band’s inception in 2002, they’ve compiled an extensive discography that includes 25 releases; the members are spread all across the Northeast, but the distance and miles between them have only seemed to heighten their drive. Stream the album in full below.

Darkness Forgives is out 10/23 on Topshelf. Pre-order it here, and you’ll also be entered to win a special 6″ vinyl recorded at Jack White’s Third Man Records. The Saddest Landscape explain:
We did a few unique takes of Jawbreaker’s “Boxcar” in the vinyl booth at Jack White’s Third Man Records in Nashville. Each take was instantly pressed to a 6″ vinyl record. We’re hiding a copy at a different record store we love around the world. We are going to give away clues on where to find the copies exclusively to fans that pre-order the record from Topshelf (and also anyone that pre-orders it is instantly in the running to win a copy as well). There are only a few in existence – photos below.
