Did you know that Danny Elfman was in the band Oingo Boingo? I sure as hell did not. To me, Danny Elfman is a composer, the mastermind behind The Nightmare Before Christmas’ inimitable soundtrack on top of a whole host of others. I’m showing my age, and I am OK with that! Elfman performed Oingo Boingo’s classic “Dead Man’s Party” for the first time in exactly 20 years at the Hollywood Bowl this past weekend. The event took place on Halloween during a live orchestral performance of the soundtrack to The Nightmare Before Christmas. Watch below.
