The great Baton Rouge rapper Lil Boosie is letting the world know that he has kidney cancer. As TMZ reports, in a since-deleted caption on a recent Instagram post, Boosie (who sometimes goes by Boosie BadAzz) had this to say: “I need all my fans to pray for me Doctor just told me I have cancer on my kidneys prayer is power that’s why I’m letting the world know prayfaboosie.”

Just last year, Boosie finished a five-year prison term. Since then, he’s been doing great work, releasing the very good Life After Deathrow mixtape and the even better Touchdown 2 Cause Hell album and going on a guest-verse tear. He is one of the greatest rappers working today. More importantly, he’s a father who’s been working hard to get his life together. This fucking sucks.
