On Friday, we’ll finally get to see Bill Murray’s all-star Christmas special A Very Murray Christmas. Sofia Coppola directed the movie, and the celebrity guests include her husband Thomas Mars and Mars’ band Phoenix. And also on Friday, Phoenix and Mars will release “Alone On Christmas Day,” the new Christmas song that they recorded together. As Phoenix explain on Facebook, the song is a cover of a widely-bootlegged but unreleased Beach Boys outtake from 1977. You can hear a few seconds of it in the teaser below.
