Stream Jeremih Late Nights: The Album
Late Nights: The Album, the new LP from the great Chicago R&B singer Jeremih, has had one of the strangest, most bungled rollouts of any album in history. It’s Jeremih’s first album since 2010’s All About You, and he’s been steadily cranking out mixtapes and singles since then. Late Nights has existed in some mysterious label limbo for a couple years now, much to Jeremih’s consternation. And now, all of a sudden, with no warning, the album is out, as the Verge points out.
We’ve heard a ton of the songs that made the final Late Nights tracklist, including “Don’t Tell ‘Em,” with YG, which was a massive hit like a year and a half ago. The other songs on the final tracklist include “Planez” (with J. Cole), “Royalty” (with Future and Big Sean), “Impatient” (with Ty Dolla $ign), and “Pass Dat.” The album also features contributions from Migos, Juicy J, Twista, and Jhené Aiko, and on first listen, it’s as smooth and atmospheric as I’ve been hoping. Late Nights: The Album is out now on Def Jam.
