Damien Jurado – “Exit 353”
The last two albums from the Seattle singer-songwriter Damien Jurado, 2012’s Maraqopa and 2014’s Brothers And Sisters Of The Eternal Sun, represented the first two parts of a trilogy. And now Jurado is getting ready to finish that trilogy. Early next year, he’ll drop the new LP Visions Of Us On The Land, which will finish telling the story of the unnamed character that Jurado introduced on Maraqopa. For the new album, Jurado worked once again with producer and regular collaborator Richard Swift, and new single “Exit 353″ has the sort of rambling ’70s vibes we’ve come to expect from him. Also, I promise, it’s fully possible to enjoy it without knowing the album’s backstory. Check it out below.
Visions Of Us On The Land is out 3/18 on Secretly Canadian.
