British bubblegum pop band the 1975 dropped "UGH!," the second single from their 16-word-titled sophomore album just last week, and today it gets a matching set of visuals. "UGH!" is pretty damn funky, and the strongest case for frontman Matthew Healy's denial of the 1975 being a pop band. But director Adam Powell's visuals, like the clip for lead single "Love Me," are so polished and meticulously aestheticized that it's hard to believe him. That is not a complaint, though, because the video is wonderful.Quick cuts of Healy shirtless, and the band silhouetted against intricate lighting installations switching from neon to black-and-white to TV noise make for entrancing images to an equally captivating song. And Healy's flailing two-step is awesome. Check out the clip below.
