Black Leaves Of Envy are a teen heavy metal band out of Praa Sands, Cornwall, and like most young bands, their practice space is a basement. Unfortunately, the local government doesn't have much use for clangorous sounds coming out of residential spaces, and told Black Leaves Of Envy that they needed to bring the volume down about 30-40 decibels, according to The Plymouth Herald. The band's only neighbor has never made a complaint and lives a field over from them. The quartet wrote to Dave Grohl asking him to come out in support of their pursuits, since he has always advocated for kids to start their own bands. Grohl responded! Read his open letter to the Cornwall Council below.

Foo Fighters included information about how to soundproof a practice space on their website.
