Shooting has apparently already wrapped on the fifth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie, but Deadline reports that directors Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg have added a scene at the last minute that's centered around Paul McCartney, who has been added to the cast of the film. There's no word on what role he's playing, but it wouldn't be the first time the Pirates franchise has dipped into rock's storied history to portray a character: Keith Richards played Johnny Depp's character's father in the third and fourth films.

It'll be one of the few times McCartney will play someone other than himself on film or TV, presumably, unless there's a twist in the Pirates universe that ties it into A Hard Day's Night somehow.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is scheduled to be released on 5/26/17.
