A chance meeting between the Cranberries frontwoman Dolores O’Riordan and former Smiths bassist Andy Rourke resulted in the serendipitous formation of a new band called D.A.R.K. Rounded out by New York-based DJ/producer Olé Koretsky, the trio are gearing up for the release of their debut album, Science Agrees, in just a couple of months, and today they’ve given us our first taste. The New Order-inspired lead single “Curvy” has some of the gothic sensibility implied by the group’s name, tempered by O’Riordan’s angelic vocals and a twinkly keyboard line. Listen below.
