Big K.R.I.T. – “So Bad”
Mississippi spitter/producer Big K.R.I.T. has been relatively quiet since dropping It’s Better This Way out of nowhere last fall. He’s had a few one-offs and features here and there, but now he has a little something to celebrate. Today marks the fifth anniversary of his excellent buzz-building mixtape Return Of 4eva. In light of that milestone he’s blessed us with “So Bad.”
It feels like yesterday this came out. Five years ago today, on this exact day,…. https://t.co/5U62MIbcCz pic.twitter.com/hogoe9AaLh

K.R.I.T waxes nostalgic in his Southern drawl about his come-up over a self-produced, sample-driven beat just as he should for the occasion. He sings on the hook, “Have you ever wanted something so bad?/That you went and got it.” Well K.R.I.T. certainly has, and he’s been consistently dope since day one. He’s still one of my favorite Southern voices in rap. Celebrate with the Mississippi kid one time. Listen.
