Kanye West – “Saint Pablo” (Feat. Sampha)
This morning, Kanye West did what he said he’d never do: He released The Life Of Pablo in places other than Tidal. The album is now streaming at Spotify and Apple Music, and you can once again buy the digital download for $20 at Kanye’s website. (It’s still not on iTunes or any place like that.) And along with what I guess you’d have to call the album’s proper release, there’s now a new Kanye West track floating around on the internet. The leaked song, called “Saint Pablo” and referenced on Kanye’s Twitter a few weeks ago, features the introspective UK soul singer Sampha. It’s six minutes of Kanye going in about things like his family, his personal finances, and his own double consciousness over a drizzly, foggy beat with a little bit of Mobb Deep in it. Listen to it below.
UPDATE: Here’s an official stream via Apple Music.
I wrote Saint Pablo after admitting to my greatest shame my personal debt. But I'm not ashamed anymore.
