Sioux Falls – “Dom” Video
Back in February we premiered Rot Forever, the new album by a band of Portland-based Montana natives who call themselves Sioux Falls. All those Pac-NW geographical signifiers were not for nothing: This band is carrying the torch for the ferociously angsty guitar heroics of Up Records, filling a void for everyone who misses the ’90s iterations of Modest Mouse and Built To Spill. At 73 minutes, Rot Forever is even way too fucking long like a Modest Mouse record! (Completely serious) playful ribbing aside, this band has charmed me, and when you listen to “Dom” via the goofy lo-fi video below, maybe they’ll charm you too.
